Security Warning: EGold Phishing Scam

Posted by rabbit on 25th February 2006

I received the email below recently. If you get any emails like this that claims to be from eGold (now or in the future) simply delete it. As far as I know, the only email that eGold sends out are PIN number emails (when you change IP or browsers). The funny thing is that the email account where I received this message isn’t even the email that I use with eGold.

Revamping the blog: Changes and Additions

Posted by rabbit on 25th February 2006

In light of the problems mentioned in the synopsis below, I have decided to revamp my blog and refocus it to make it more relevant to my readers. I have added a feature under “The Connection” where you can subscribe to the blog and get an email whenever updates are posted. I added this feature because I received emails from a few people asking if they can subscribe to my newsletter. I do not have a newsletter setup at this time, so this feature can be used as an alternative.

The disasters of the past month: A brief synopsis

Posted by rabbit on 25th February 2006

The past few weeks have been a disaster for many, especially those that participate in the Paid to Surf industry. Stormpay, now nicknamed Scampay (among other things), threw a monkey wrench in the industry about a month ago when they started to freeze all the autosurf and hyip stormpay funds. As a result of their action, dozens of autosurf programs and HYIPs collapsed. Those that did not collapse, ended up being paralyzed. Among the paralyzed are two of my own surf programs - 12DailyPro and Alien Trust — both of which are now in my “Programs on Hold” list. It is anyone’s guess at this point if these two programs will be able to recover. Alien Trust is trying to start out fresh, but 12DailyPro is stuck in a kind of holding pattern at the moment. I will post more details about these in my Program News posting later today or tomorrow.

Some changes to My Programs List

Posted by rabbit on 12th February 2006

I have now added a section called “Programs On Hold”. Programs that are listed under this category are still alive, but have problems.

I have added FX-Experts to my favourites list. I now feel comfortable enough about the program to add it as one of my favourite. I chat to the admin Marcos on a regular basis and have access to their trading account at North Finance which I can audit at any time. Thus, I am confident that this program is backed by real forex trading and is not a ponzi. This being said, it is always prudent to get your principal out whenever you can. This should be applied to ALL programs regardless how secure one think they are.

The latest on the Stormpay vs Autosurfs saga

Posted by rabbit on 12th February 2006

First of all I must apologize for taking so long to update you guys on the ongoing saga between 12DailyPro and Stormpay. Since the news item was posted 10 days ago, the situation has gotten worse. Alien Trust along with other autosurfs and HYIPs that accepted Stormpay also had their accounts frozen. While some of these programs have closed down altogether, others are making adjustments.

Jan 15th - 28th: New Programs, Investments, Payments

Posted by rabbit on 2nd February 2006

I have not added any new programs to my programs list the past two weeks. However, I did lose one from the list - SPS Income. You can read their web site here to see what happened to the program (or at least what they are claiming took place). The web site states that they are going to issue refunds to people, but base on my experiences in the past, it is not likely to happen. It is a good thing I had only $100 in the program. I have added it to my Dead & Abandoned Programs list.

Jan. 22nd - 28th: Tier Two Program News

Posted by rabbit on 30th January 2006

UDACHU

The program is still running smoothly. I was a bit concerned about the administration’s decision to run the program via email and take down their web site, but that concern has since subsided. They are sending updated statements showing account holdings on a monthly basis, and are answering email inquiries in a timely fashion. The Udachu forum is still up as well. You can find it at www.udachufundforum.com.
