NowDollar + Some Commentary + Interview Link
Posted by rabbit on June 25th, 2006
I added NowDollar to my PTS list this past week. Some may think I am crazy for doing this considering that I just lost about $1,000 in Compactsurf. I will post another article explaining why I like the autosurfs a bit later. I will also post some strategies that can be used to maximize earnings and minimize losses in another article.
It is hard to believe that this surf program has been around since February of this year. They started roughly the same time as Wiredsurf (now failed), Phoenixsurf (now failed) and Compactsurf (we all know about this one). Yet, not a lot of people knew about them prior to this past week. The reason for this is simple. Wiredsurf, Phoenixsurf and Compactsurf had a lot of cachet with people when they first launched, as there were a lot of promotion and hype around the programs. Nowdollar, like 14dailyplus mentioned in an earlier article, did not caught on with the masses like Wired, Phoenix and Compact did. As a result, they failed to grow as fast (and some would say fall as fast) as the aforementioned programs.
I came across Nowdollar while catching up on the latest news on compactsurf, and decided to check it out. What I read about the program, both on their forums and elsewhere impressed me enough for me to add it to my Paid to Surf list.
There are so many surf programs that popup every day, that they are now a dime-a-dozen. Oftentimes, I get emails from some of my readers promoting their favourite surf programs. One that I see mentioned a lot is 13DailyPro.net. When I visited 13Dailypro.net all I saw was hype, hype and more hype. I failed to see anything of substance to make me want to upgrade in the program. Programs based purely on hype and Alexa growth readings tend to crash and burn very quickly. This is why I look for PTS programs that have (or at least show some indication of having) other sources of revenue. Nowdollar seems to fit in this mold. A member posted here 2 weeks ago that they saw big name advertisers such as Disney and McDonalds in the surf rotation. I have yet to see this from my own surfing (I will definitely post here if/when I do). However, this would be a first in the Paid to Surf industry if true. I have seen postings from the member about other surfs in other forums, so it is unlikely that this person works for Nowdollar.
Another thing I found in their forum that caught my eye was this posting from Lance, the program admin:
"We are excited to announce we have been in business for two full months. We owe our success to you, our outstanding Members. Thank you all for supporting NowDollar.com.
Here is a quick run down of what we have achieved over the past two months.
When we first started accepting Members, our Max deposit amount was $1500. We did this to ensure solid and steady growth. We have since moved the Limit to $3500. Starting tonight at Midnight we will now have a max upgrade level of $5000 and no limit to how many upgrades you can have running at one time.
We started with the Pay Processors of EMO, AlertPay, Ebullion and Egold. We all know what the deal is with EMO. We are still paying back our EMO Members everyday. We had to drop Ebullion because of lack of use, and AlertPay because of issues we could not overcome. We have not had any problems with Egold and continue to use them. Egold in my personal opinion is the most solid pay processor available to us at this point.
We Made our first pay outs on March 7, 2006 and have now paid out 44 days straight.
Our reserve fund has almost doubled from what we started with. Our Staff Places the NowDollar funds in several Places. The most solid of which is long term investments. These investments will start paying us back in June. At this point we will no longer have to rely on our reserve fund to pay pending cash outs. That day is Fast approaching.
We have never had any server issues. We use a dedicated server from the hosting company Verio/NTT. One of the most trusted names in the Hosting Industry. Our server is monitored 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Our Scripts and programming is handled by professional career programmers.
We have a Long Term Business Model in place for the next 3 years. At that point we will reevaluate this company and make changes if necessary.
If you have any suggestions that would make this program better please send them to admin@nowdollar.com. We are listening.
We have several promotions coming this summer that you will not want to miss.
Thank you all again for your support.
Lance "
I wish he had explained more about what kind of "long term investments" the program had as a revenue source. I also wish that he was asked this question during his interview with the Autosurf Authority (ASA). You can watch the video interview here.
Right now my account with Nowdollar is fairly small as I gave most of the e-gold I had to compactsurf two weeks ago
. However, I am planning to add more funds to the program as I get more e-gold.

Perhaps I am being overly cautious here, but whenever a hyip or autosurf changes their payment plan in any way, it normally is a sign for the canny investor to get out. One prime example is Solid investment. 2 months before suddenly “not paying” they announced they were increasing returns to 3% per day but over longer terms. Usually ponzis will do a last gasp push to get money before they run and will sucker investors in with promises of extremely lucrative returns. Once they have their money then the usual excuses for non payment start coming and then the website is no more.
I am curious as to why you think this site, with its cheap gold coders script which is probably reaching the end of its natural life, should be any different.

Jane you can never be too careful in this field. Their script is similar to the script used by Alien Trust. It doesnt look like the cheap run of the mill surf script that most PTS programs use. Their web site could have been better designed though. I think Alientrust is a crappy name for a surf program. However, their web site is neat and tidy
