WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT:
ZOOMINVEST / Croft Brothers / Daily Instant Pay / PRIVATEOPPS
I lumped these all together because they are pretty much all dressup ponzis. Zoom Invest and Croft Brothers have already disappeared since I received the email inquiries about them. PrivateOpps just this week announced that they are going private (usually a very bad sign for dressup ponzis). Daily Instant Pay is the worse of the lot. It is a scam that keeps on scamming. It is not paying yet the site is up and still collecting people’s money. STAY AWAY!
SOLIDINVESTMENT & VASCO INVESTMENT
I covered these in my last “From the Mailbox” post. However one of my readers emailed me to ask if they have really been around since 1998. I have no doubt that they are lying about being around that long. Programs this old with great returns would not be a big secret for that long. Do not be fooled by these claims. You can pretty much tell how long a program has really been around based on their listing date on the different rating sites. I am talking about reputable rating sites, not shady ones that change the real join date for a fee. On HYIPInvestment.com, Solidinvestment was listed 167 Days ago and Vasco Investment was listed 133 days ago. This is a far cry from 8 years.
This looks like another one of the dressup ponzi variety. Let’s face it folks 2% per day is just not possible. Any program you see offering such outrageous returns treat them as ponzis. You can make money from some of them if you get in early, but then you would be gambling as opposed to investing. You can check out a recent discussion about them here. One guy posted that the phone number they have listed is fake (not that I am surprised).
This one certainly looks legitimate and could be an interesting one to watch. The phone number that they have on their site is real and it appears they are involved in real trading. However, I am concerned that they could be shut down by the SEC at any time since they are based in the USA and are essentially selling securities (with fixed returns) without registration. You can read more about the research done on them thus far here. Also there is an interesting tidbit that they may be lying about their US address here.
MPDW vs Udachu
With the recent changes at MPDW, I would choose Udachu over MPDW hands down. I think at the time I responded to this message I told the reader to split his funds between the two. If I had received his message today, I would have suggested that he join Udachu and check MPDW again in 6 months time.
WHATS THE DEAL WITH GOLDEN ROCKS?
I am still receiving emails about Goldenrocks. The latest information that I have is that they are still issuing refunds to members that are not in profit. I have a few friends that have received refunds, and a few folks mentioned that they have received refunds in this thread as well. At this point there is nothing much anyone can do but wait and hope for the best.
HOW DO I FUND MY EGOLD / HOW DO I GET MONEY OUT OF EGOLD?
A few folks sent me emails with these type of questions. I will post a detailed article about this in about a week. For now, I would suggest US readers use The Bullion Exchange for in-exchanging and out-exchanging eGold, and international readers use Ice Gold. If you are in Canada, Gold Pouch Express is a great (and cheap) exchanger for converting e-Gold into cash. They are not so great for in-exchange though.
