The disasters of the past month: A brief synopsis
Posted by rabbit on February 25th, 2006
The past few weeks have been a disaster for many, especially those that participate in the Paid to Surf industry. Stormpay, now nicknamed Scampay (among other things), threw a monkey wrench in the industry about a month ago when they started to freeze all the autosurf and hyip stormpay funds. As a result of their action, dozens of autosurf programs and HYIPs collapsed. Those that did not collapse, ended up being paralyzed. Among the paralyzed are two of my own surf programs - 12DailyPro and Alien Trust — both of which are now in my “Programs on Hold” list. It is anyone’s guess at this point if these two programs will be able to recover. Alien Trust is trying to start out fresh, but 12DailyPro is stuck in a kind of holding pattern at the moment. I will post more details about these in my Program News posting later today or tomorrow.
Adding to the autosurf problems mentioned above, two of my gambles stopped paying last week — ASCFin and Tingerinvest. I always thought that they were related in some way, but could not really prove it. The fact that they stopped paying around the same time, indicate that they were both run by the same admin / team.
Let’s not forget GoldenRocks. Last week the admins suddenly announced that they were going private. They also announced some new rules about payouts. I will be posting the details about this in my news posting tomorrow. In the mean time, I have relegated them to the “Programs on Hold” category.
