HITZPAY

The Hitzpay web site has been down for about two days now because of a DDOS attack buy a hacker / extortionist demanding money. It seems that the same person / team behind the DDOS attack were also behind the hacking of the web site a few days earlier. Gary, the admin, has been posting regularly on the forum about what is going on. You can read the latest here.

A lot of people are worried about the situation, and some are even doing chargebacks at Paypal already. I can definitely understand why some people would get nervous. The hacker attack and subsequent DDOS attack came right around pay day (December 1st). And a lot of scammers have used hacking and ddos attacks to run away with people’s money in the past. It seems to me, based on what I have seen thus far, that the attacker deliberately choose this time to cause mayhem. It is obvious that the culprit is trying to sow discontent and sap people’s confidence in the program by attacking when they know people are due to get paid. The culprit said has much in the email he/she sent to Gary here.

In any event, I am fairly confident that Gary and his team will be able to fight off this attack and get back on track. I think Hitzpay would be stronger if he is able to pull it off, and people would have renewed confidence in the program. I am more annoyed at this point about what is happening than worried.

STUDIO TRAFFIC

It seems that things are really getting bad with this program. Last month they blocked almost all American members from surfing and earning. This month they have added 4 more countries to the list: The U.K, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. I am in Canada, so I have not been affected — but I think it is a matter of time before Canadians gets blocked as well. It seems to me that the admins of Studio Traffic are trying to prolong the inevitable for as long as possible. You can read more about the blocking here.

I finally got paid for my November 3rd withdrawal on November 29th after filing a ticket complaining.
