Program News: Hitzpay no more
Posted by rabbit on December 5th, 2005
Well it seems that Hitzpay is no more. It has been revealed that not only did the hacker / extortionist / thief nicknamed Denko DDOSed the site, but he also managed to steal a lot of cash via e-gold and Paypal when he hacked into the administrative panel for the site last week. This dude knew what he was doing. He knew that payday in Hitzpay was around the 1st of the month and decided to attack around that time. The theft coupled with the hundreds of chargebacks at Paypal makes it next to impossible to get the program back on track.
It really saddens me that things had to end this way, because Hitzpay was, in my opinion, a very good program. Still, I am aware that HYIPland is a minefield. Even if you find a good program with a honest manager, one still have to contend with hackers and government intervention ruining the program.
The good news is that efforts are underway to resusitate the program from the dead. Or at least help people who were not in profit to make back the money lost. You can read more about this here.

I’m still working on getting a refund out of egold. They are working on it. I’m kind of surprised since everybody says they don’t give refunds but when I last spoke to them, that was not the answer they gave me. I’m just waiting for my money now. With all the problems egold has had over the past few days I suspect this is slowing things down.

Hey FutureMoney. I have never heard of e-gold giving a refund before. Keep us posted on this.
