Udachu Diversified Fund and Udachu Invest now Private

Posted by rabbit on July 25th, 2006

After several weeks of speculation, the admins of Udachu Diversified Fund and Udachu Invest have decided to close both programs to new investors. It seems that all the good programs are going private one by one. Others such as Joyfund have increased their minimum investment amount (Joyfund raised their minimum from $1000 to about $5000 now).

2 Years in HYIPS Part 2 - The Compounding Dilemma + Some Strategies

Posted by rabbit on July 12th, 2006

I have been caught in the compounding trap many times in the past two years. The most recent  incident occured last month with Compactsurf. While I am in profit now overall, my gains over the past two years would have been significantly higher if I had been more prudent with my compounding. It is very easy to fall into the compounding trap. We put our money into a program with the hope that in a few months or years it will make us better off. Some of us put our money into a program with a specific goal in mind (buying a car, taking a vecation, saving for your kids college fund and so on). What better way to reach our goals than to compound in our favourite program? In the case of Compactsurf, I was determined to max out my account as fast as possible. In my zeal to accomplish this goal, I ended up with a $1000 loss. Had I been less aggressive with my compounding, I would have been a few thousand in the green instead of a thousand in the hole. Why haven't I learned my lesson after 2 years? The answer to this is simple; one is always thinking that the current program is different and shouldn't be judged in the same light as the ones that got you before. Will this happen to me again? Very unlikely. I have finally learnt my lesson and will be making principal retrieval a priority going forward.

Globalethical.com looks like another scam

Posted by rabbit on July 10th, 2006

I received the email below from a David Sharp with the subject line "Hello Sir". I sent an email asking if I can visit their corporate headquarters since its in my neck of the woods. I also asked if they are licensed by the Ontario Securities Exchange in Canada to offer investments online. I have yet to hear a response (and don't expect one). Anyway, you guys should be able to tell just by reading the email that this one is just another pretty ponzi in the making.

Solidinvestment Gone…

Posted by rabbit on July 10th, 2006

It looks like Solidinvestment.com is gone. I was hoping that my suspicions were wrong, but in this arena history tend to repeat itself. I feel very sorry for those of you that lost money in the program. This is not the first scam run by these leeches (I believe Jungle Ventures from 2 years ago was also ran by them), and it will not be the last. This is why we need to be vigilant and stop feeding the obvious scams with our hard-earned money.

Big Week for SolidInvestment?

Posted by rabbit on July 9th, 2006

While I am not a member of Solidinvestment myself (I think its an elaborate ponzi scheme), there are quite a lot of my readers that are either in it or would like to learn more about it. It seems this coming week will be a big one for the program. The admin of the program promised that "investors" waiting weeks for their payment will finally get it this coming week. There are a lot of chatter among Solidinvestment fans that the promised payments this week will prove that Solidinvestment is not a scam. If history is any indication though, they are in for a rude awakening. Still, I hope I am wrong and everyone that are owed get paid this week. Of course I will post another update here about the promised payment (or non-payment).

Try to avoid Capitalex.com

Posted by rabbit on July 9th, 2006

I have been reading mix reviews on these guys the past year and a half since they have been in business. Some report having a good experience with them, while others say they are scams. I have heard too many scam stories for me to take these guys seriously. Therefor, I would suggest that you guys avoid them as an exchanger at all cost. There are better exchangers out there without the controversies surrounding this particular one.

Hope for an EMO Refund?

Posted by rabbit on July 9th, 2006

A few months ago I mentioned that EMOCorp (a well-known payment processor) was shut down by the Texan government and was put into the hands of a receiver. Now it appears that steps are being taken to refund those that have money stuck there. I have about $150 there myself and was able to login to check the balance recently. Those that have accounts there should have received an email from the receiver around June 28th.

Some Updates on NowDollar

Posted by rabbit on July 8th, 2006

PAYMENT RECEIVED

I received my first payment from Nowdollar on Wednesday. I made the withdrawal request after surfing on Tuesday morning. For those of you that do not already know, there are two main days in which payments are processed each week - Tuesdays and Fridays. If you make a request for a withdrawal on Tuesday morning (before 1 PM EST or GMT 9h00) then chances are that you will be paid the same Tuesday or the day after. The same applies for Friday withdrawals. There are two rules in place for withdrawals:

ADTitans is history…

Posted by rabbit on July 1st, 2006

It is ironic that my last post was titled "AdTitans added to my PTS List" and now I have to post this one saying they are history. The admin disappeared without saying a word early last week. I guess the admin changing the Fast Track option to 9% was a sign of trouble afterall. In my previous post I mentioned that I thought the admin was just being pro-active in increasing the percentage deducted for the Fast Track option. I guess I was just being naive. At least the admin had the decency to disable the upgrade option before disappearing — preventing members from throwing more money in. The source I mentioned in my previous article said that the admin disappeared without stealing anyone's money (as if this is any consolation to those that lost money in the program Annoyed).

AdTitans added to PTS List

Posted by rabbit on June 25th, 2006

I joined Adtitans and added it to my Paid to Surf list this past week. This program has some controversy surrounding it as many believe that they are owned / operated by Phoenixsurf. It was the Phoenixsurf administration that first introduced the program to the world about 2 months ago. Their setup is also similar to the way Phoenixsurf was setup with a fast track option (for payment within 48 hours). A few days ago their fees for fast-tracking was raised to 9% across the board. This was done to stem the amount of members choosing the fast track option. According to the Edward the admin, their business model is based on 30% of members choosing the fast-track option, and right now a lot more members are doing this. Some folks are jittery about the change (and rightfully so given the shakeouts the past few weeks). However, I do not see the change as anything to worry about personally. I think it is a good thing that the admin is being proactive in making the program work. I also think it was a good thing for the admin to offer a refund to those who were no longer comfortable with the program as a result of the change (apparently 6 members took him up on the offer).
